Abraham was baptized on July 20 1788 in Kingson, Ulster County, New York. During the War of 1812, he enlisted on September 6 1814 and was a private in Capt Louis Beviers' Co., N Y Militia, stationed at Fort Richmond, Staten Island, New York. He was discharged on December 13 1814, and received a 40-acre land bounty and, at some point, a pension. He passed away in 1878.
In the 1860 Census for Abraham Deitz's household, there is an entry for Philip Davis, 21 years old. Black, laborer.
