Research Note

  • It would seem that there may be two individuals represented by this profile; Daniel Dearborn and Donald Dearborn. More detailed research is requred to sort it out.

Daniel Dearborn was born about 1801 in Lower Canada.[1]

He married Sally Potter of Vermont about 1825. They had at least five children;

  1. Mary Dearborn, b abt 1827 in Canada, d. 1908 in Michigan.[2]
  2. Samuel Dearborn, b. abt 1831 in Canada.[3]
  3. William Dearborn, b. abt 1833 in Canada.[4]
  4. Sophia Dearborn, b. abt 1835 in Canada.[5]
  5. Oscar Dearborn, b. abt 1845 in Canada, d. 1883 in Minnesota.[6]

In the 1851 Canadian Census, Daniel (age 50) was in Pickering, Durham, Canada West.[1]

In the 1861 Canadian Census Donald Dearborn (age 59y) was recorded as married in Tuckersmith, Huron, Ontario, Canada.[7]

Daniel died (age 74) on 8 October 1875 in Lyle, Mower, Minnesota.[8] and was buried at Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle.[9]
