Sgt. Wibert C. Davis, 26, who was killed by a land mine in Viet Name and buried yesterday in the National Cemtery was a natural leader and protector of younger children. "All the kids looked up to him," said his grandmother, Mrs. Marion Helms, 1880 North Robberson, last night. "He was no. 1." Sergeant Davis was born in Richland and was the oldest child of Claude Davis and the present Mrs. Ethel Harris of Strafford. [Springfield News-Leader_MO_Sat 1965 10 23 p 6]
