Biography
Birth registration 1858/3588 Davies Hugh Parents Janet William
At the time of his marriage (21 Feb 1883), Hugh was a widower and a Dairyman. His father William was also a Dairyman.
In his daughter's marriage announcement, 1917, we find the family at 42 Murdoch Rd, Grey Lynn, Auckland.
Unfortunately, I think this address may be where he committed suicide.[1]
I'm putting this entry under the various Hugh Davies, as I'm not sure which of the Hugh's it is! 1931 Auckland Provincial Street Directory, Country Directory, Coromandel has "Davies Hugh contractor".
