Robert was a member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain
Robert Madoc Davies was born 22 October 1873

in Portmadoc (now Porthmadog), Caernarfonshire, Wales.
Robert Davies married Bessie Godwin Lewis at Christ Church, Woburn Square, London, on 21 July 1906. He was a professor of music, living at the Abbotsford Hotel in Russell Square, and was the son of Robert Davies, deceased. Bessie was living at 118 Euston Road in London, the daughter of Edwin Lewis, deceased.

Robert and Bessie had a son, Godwyn Madoc Davies, born in London on 4 March 1908.

Robert became a member of the The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain on the 7 November 1909 as confirmed in the Society's book, “Members of The Royal Society of Musicians 1738-1984” on Page 45
