Arthur George Davey was born 9 Jan 1891 at Unley, South Australia, Australia. He was the eldest son of William Davey and Elizabeth O'Neill.[1]
Arthur George DAVEY married Alice Edith Emily MAYNE 1912 in Victoria, AustraliaArthur enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 29th June 1915.[2] He was allotted to the 23rd Australian Infantry Battalion, seeing action on the Western Front. He embarked with reinforcements for the battalion on 8th February 1916 aboard HMAT Warilda A69.[3]
Wounded in action in France 4 Aug 1916 and 2 Oct 1917.
He returned to Australia 13th March 1918.
Aged 65 he passed away in 1983 at South Australia and was cremated at West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide
