Biography
John Benjamin Dasher was born on October 20, 1900 in Savannah, Chatham, Georgia, United States, son of Pratt Napoleon Dasher (1875–1956) and Margaret E Gnann (1882–~1957).[1]
In 1920, John (19)'s occupation was 'farm laborer'. He was living in household of Pratt N Dasher (48) in Militia District 11, Effingham with his parents, Pratt N (48) and Maggie (42); and his siblings, Dorothy (14), and Alice (12). [2]
John married Clara Harriette Ulmer (54) (born on December 15, 1902 in Waycross, Ware, Georgia; daughter of John Porter Ulmer and Ida Florence (James) Ulmer) on December 18, 1923 in Georgia.[3]
In 1930, John (29) was living in Savannah Beach, Chatham with his wife, Clara H (26); and their son, John B (5). [4]
In 1940, John (39) was living in Gastonia, Gaston with his wife, Clara (37); and their son, John B (15). [5]
John registered for the draft for World War II. [6]
In 1950, John (49)'s occupation was 'carpenter'. He was living in Gastonia, Gaston with his wife, Clara (46); their son, John B Dasher Jr (25); and Janet Dasher (23, daughter-in-law), and Ronald Dasher (1, grandson). [7]
