I know a little about my genealogy and am just beginning to learn more.My parents were distant cousins and I'm going to see if I can trace them roots. On my mother's side, I am descended from Leander David Connolly, who appears to be descended from both a Revolutionary War Captain and Rob Roy MacGregor. My other side of the family includes Martha Wolfe from Johnson County KY, USA. I'm attempting to trace her. She was my great great grandmother and a Cherokee. Her descendants married the Wards who were from Northern Ireland. I'm also very fascinated by the Wards of Johnson County KY, USA.

If your Daniels come from Johnson County, KY you have hit the jackpot as I have traced the Johnson County, KY Daniels back to William Daniel 1680-1765 of Essex and Caroline Counties, Va. He was probably not the immigrant. Possibly a grandson of Hugh Daniel who was imported into Northampton County, VA in 1652.
