William Dancy was born in Worth, Sussex and christened in Worth Church on 1 June 1845, he was the son of John Dancy and Ann Howell[1][2]
The Dancy name was also spelt Dancey on early birth certs and marriage certs.
Marriage
He married mary Upton in East Grinstead, Sussex in 1869. [3]
He was a Game Keeper at the time of his marriage.
The 1869 parish register shows Williams father as John Dancey and Mary Upton’s father as William Upton. [4]
