Edward was born circa 1836 and christened March 28, 1837 in Mawgan-in-Menage, Cornwall, England. He was a son of Henry Dale and Alice (Williams) Dale.[1]
His family emigrated to New Brunswick in the early 1850s and settled in Saint John.
Edward married Mary A.S. Webster on May 2, 1855 in Carleton (Saint John). She was a daughter of Joseph Webster and Ann (Beard) Webster of that place.[2]
He passed away on October 29, 1882 in Carleton at the relatively young age of 47, leaving his wife and ten children.[3]
