The Hawker Family from South Australia and the family of Harry Hawker (Victoria) have no connections.

Hawker-243 is my third great grandfather on my maternal grandmother's side (my grandmother's mother was Hawker-299).

I have to confess that I didn't realise I had such a strong Australian connection until the last few years.

I'm Jim Dale, my family was involved in the settlement of Hobart and Melbourne, Australia, the Victorian gold Rush and the First and Second World Wars.

With the collaboration of my family, we have completed our research all the way back to the UK and found connections to the USA and Canada. I am the past President of the City of Moorabbin Historical Society and have completed work on most of the original settlers of the district and have published works on the Famous Aviator Harry Hawker. I'm current President of the Harry Hawker Pioneer Aviator Society.
