Biography

Édith was born about 1849. She is the daughter of Regis Daigle and Marie Elizabeth Cyr. She was listed in the 1850 census at age 1 in Aroostook, Maine.^[1]

She married Laurent Cyr on 13 October 1872 in Saint-David, Aroostook, Maine, United States. ^[2]

The 1921 census in Saint-Basile shows Édith, age 71, living with her daughter Agnès and her son-in-law Bélonie Thibodeau who inherited the family farm after Laurent's death. It is mentioned in the census that Édith was deaf.^[3]

She died 4 October 1924 in Saint-Basile, Madawaska County, New Brunswick, and was buried in Saint Basile Cemetery.
