Biography

Francois was born about1801 to Jean Baptiste Daigle and Marie Anne Cyr. Parish records for 1801-1802 are not available to ascertain his exact date of birth. Francois married at age 27 and raised his family in Aroostook, Maine, though his children were baptized in St. Basile, Madawaska, New Brunswick. In January of 1847, he baptized a daughter one day and buried a one-year old son the next. Francois passed away in 1868 at about 68 years old.
