Biography

Laura d'Anna is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giovanni and Constanza d'Anna. I estimate Laura is born around 1676, twenty years before she marries.

Laura marries at least twice, first to Pietro Simonetti (Scimonetto), on 20 February 1696. Her parents have died by this time.^[1]

Laura and Pietro have one known child, Antonio (c. 1697).

I estimate Antonio is born around 20 years before he marries.

Laura remarries on 19 September 1717, indicating Pietro has died by this time. Her second husband is Francesco Valensisi, son of Giuseppe and Caterina Valensisi.^[2]

Antonio marries Caterina Valensisi two months later, on 27 November 1717.^[3] The relationship between Caterina, the daughter of Giuseppe and Orsola, and Francesco Valensisi is not yet known.

Laura and Francesco have at least one child, Giovanni (c. 1720).

Based on his mother's age, I estimate Giovanni is born within a few years of his parents' marriage. He is named after his maternal grandfather.

Giovanni marries Anna Majuri on 27 October 1743. His father has died by this time.^[4]
