Emigrated from Altino in 1893, working as a tailor. Founded D'Alonzo-Lancaster Inc, a made-to-measure clothing firm in Philadelphia, PA. The firm was founded in 1908 after encouragement from John Wanamaker, who was one of his first employers in Philadelphia. Employed many Italian immigrants in his shop. At the time of his death in 1974, the firm employed over 300 workers. [1]
