Paul Cyre was born 13 Mar 1741. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Cyr and Marguerite Cormier. He was baptized the same day at Beaubassin. His godparents were Paul Cyre and Marie Cormier.[1]
Paul Cyr was one of the founders of Madwaska. He is commemorated on the "Founateurs" plaque in Saint-Basile Cemetery.

Paul died at age 70 on 4 January 1812 in Saint-Basile, Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. He is buried in the Saint Basile Cemetery
Edmundston, Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada.[2]
