Biography

Elizabeth Cushin was baptized 28 September 1543 at Swannington, Norfolk, the daughter and heiress of Edmund/Edward Cushin (or Cushyn), Gent.,[1][2][3] and Frances Richers.[4][5]
Elizabeth married William Thornton, Esq., son of Oliver Thornton and his first wife, Parnell Bugge.[4] The date and place of their marriage is unknown. They had one son and one daughter:
  • Robert, Esq., baptized 7 October 1565,[6] died before 26 August 1613; married Anne Smith and had issue[4]
  • Frances, wife of Michael Dalton, Esq.[4][7]
Elizabeth survived her husband, who died testate 24 September 1570.[4] Her date and place of death are unknown.
