Biography
Richard George Curtis was born on 11 January 1879 at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He was the second son of William Curtis and Mary Boreham. The family moved north and settled at Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.
Occupation in 1903 was auctioneer; in 1941 he was a visiting Justice, residing with his sister Beatrice in Brisbane, under the name Richard Curtis.
Married Maud Marion Province on 24 March 1909 in Queensland, Australia and children if any, are unknown.
As R. G. Curtis he was named next of kin [NOK] on the World War One army record of Vincent Curtis.
Death occurred on 29 May 1955 in Bundaberg General Hospital, and he was cremated at Mt. Thomson, Brisbane and ashes placed with his in-laws.
Parent's names on death record are William Edward Curtis and Mary Boreham
