Fanny Currie was born in Sault Ste Marie in 1895. She was the daughter of Dan Currie and Fanny Bissett. She married George Samuel Chapman in Blind River, Algoma District in 1911.
Mrs. George George (nee Fannie Frances Currie) of 247 Franklin St. North, passed away suddenly at Sunnyside Home on Tuesday Dec. 18, 1979, age 84 years.
Beloved wife of the late George S. Chapman; dear mother of Adrian Leigh of Elmira, George of New Hamburg, Edgar and Bruce of Sudbury, William of Kitchener, Mrs. Marjorie Fitzgerald of Sudbury, Mrs. Jack (Bernice) Chapman, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Kuss and Mrs. Kenneth (Roberta) MacInnes all ot Kitchener; sister ol George and Edgar of Kitchener and Henderson ot Sudbury; 54 grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by two sons Currie and John; four daughters, Amelia, Barbara, Vivian and Doreen; three brothers, John, Daniel and Joe; two sisters, Violet and Anne.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home 621 King St West, Kitchener. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday witn Rev. Jonn MacLean officiating. Removal will then be made to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, Sudbury for funeral service and burial on Friday. [1]
