Biography

Nicolo’ Cuccia is born and baptized on 19 June 1865 in Corleone. He is the son of Francesco Cuccia and Filippa Finocchio. His godmother is Francesca Bonanno, who is unmarried.[1]

Nicolo’ Cuccia, son of Francesco Cuccia and Filippa Finocchio, marries Leoluchina Calamusa, daughter of Melchiorre Calamusa and Caterina lo Bello, on 14 June 1896 in Corleone.[2]

Nicolo' and Leoluchina emigrate to the United States.

Nicolo' and Leoluchina, called Laura, have ten children: Frank, Manuel, Luke, Joseph, Marie, Stella, Carrie, and three more daughters known by their married names: Mrs. Frank Gennaro, Mrs. Charles Vezian, and Mrs. John Ruffino.[3]

Nick's last known address is 1434 Constance St., New Orleans.[3]

Death of Nicolo'

Nick dies on 4 November 1932 in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 64 (b. 1868). The transcription of his death record names his parents Frank Cuccia and Filippa Ginochio and wife Laura Calamoosa.[4]

Laura Cuccia dies at age 69 (b. 1878) on 26 February 1947 in Orleans Parish, LA. She was born in Sicily, Italy, daughter of Manuel Calamusa and Carrie. Spouse’s name is Nick Cuccia.[5]
