Louis was born in 1742. He is the son of Basile Crépeau and Marguerite Raté.
Louis is born to Basile and Marguerite Rate in Chateau-Richer in 1742 and marries Marie Charlotte Dubreuil in 1766.
In 1767, his daughter Marie Louise Crepeau is born in L’Assomption, Quebec. In 1783, Marie Louise marries Michel Charbonneau.
Michel Charbonneau is the nephew of Jean Baptiste Charbonneau who is the father of Toussaint Charbonneau born in 1767, at Boucherville, Quebec, the same year as Louise Crepeau was born.
So Toussaint and Louise Crepeau-Charbonneau are contemporaries in time and place. This all suggests that Michel and Toussaint are first cousins.
In subsequent generations these families continued to cross paths and certainly inter-married.
