Biography

The Crozier family was living in Madison Township in 1880.[1]

John was living in Madison Township in 1940.[2]

John died 3 August 1947.[3] Burial was at Dresden Cemetery.[4]


Death Calls John T. Crozier

John Thomas Crozier,83, died suddenly at 12:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home of a son, L. B. Crozier of Dresden. He had been in ill health following a stroke suffered a year ago.

The son of John and Catherine Rolls Crozier, he was born May 21, 1864, in Muskingum county. A retired coal miner, he was a member of the Dresden Methodist church. He had made his home with his son for the past year.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Parks Crozier; two sons, L. B. Crozier of Dresden and Roy Crozier of Trinway; two daughters, Mrs. Miles Lane of Dresden and Mrs. Vesta Maher of Coshocton; two half-brothers, Sheldon and Thomas Crozier, both of Dresden; one half-sister, Mrs. Freda Layman of Coshocton; 13 grand-children, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One son, Kenneth, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the L. B. Crozier residence with burial in the Dresden cemetery.[5]
