Thomas was born in 1898, parents Thomas John Philp Crothers and Annie Wescott.

On 31 March 1901 the Crothers family lived in Portreath, Illogan, Cornwall, England. [1] Thomas J Crothers (37) Mariner and Annie Crothers (37) with Mary A P Crothers (16) & Thomas J S Crothers (3).

On 2 April 1911 the Crothers family lived in Portreath, Illogan, Cornwall, England. [2] Annie Crothers (48) wife of a sailor, married 27 years with son Thomas John Stanley Crothers (13), daughter Mary Ann Kessell (26) and Vear Kathleen Kessell (8/12).

On 25 April 1916 John Crothers enlisted with the Royal Naval during WW1, Service Number TS 5389 [3] and was awarded the Victory Medal and British War Medal. [4] Described at 5' 6", Blue eyes with a fair complexion.

Thomas John Stanley Crothers married Margaret Ann Richards in 1919.[5]

In 1939 the Crothers family lived at 4 Trelawney Place, West Penwith, Cornwall, England. Thomas J Crothers (41 - b. 13 Feb 1898) General Labourer, Margaret A Crothers (43 - b. 27 Nov 1896) with daughters Vera Crothers (b. 3 April 1919) Butter Making and Elizabeth Crothers (b. 28 Mar 1921) Nurse Maid. The other lines have This record is officially closed. Vera has WEBBER and Elizabeth has DARK overwritten on the form. [6]

In 1952 the Crothers family lived in Stockton, California, USA.[7] Thomas worked at Super Mold Corporation, Stockton.

He passed away in 1955 [8] and was buried at the Stockton Rural Cemetery. [9]
