Research Notes

Note 1.

The name of Robert's mother on his death registration differs from his birth registration. However, this could be because whoever gave the information for his death registration took a guess; or just did not know.
Alternatively, as suggested by another family historian, his natural mother passed away when Robert was 18 months old, and Emma Beech could be the name of the woman who brought him up. (Source: https://freepages.rootsweb.com/~gordon/genealogy/gordonfam/pafn647.htm#20611)
