Mary Paterson Cowie came into the world at 1 AM on 4 August 1894 at 27 Dishland Street, St Vigeans, in Arbroath, Forfarshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Domestic Servant, Jane Cowie. [1]

The 1901 Scotland Census has her residing at 45 Panmure Terrace, Barry, Forfarshire, where she is a Scholar. David Cowie is the head of the household with his wife Janet (both 60), and Mary's relationship is noted as a Grand Niece. [2]

She married John Keiller on 26 December 1918 in Barry, Forfarshire, Scotland. [3]

She passed away after 1928.
