Biography
Richard Covert was son of Thomas Covert and his wife, Elizabeth Sidney. [1]
Richard married Elizabeth Faggar, daughter if John Faggar Esq and Elizabeth his wife. [2]
His second wife was Elizabeth Nevile, daughter of Sir George Neville, Lord Bergavenny [2] and his wife, Margaret Fenne.
Thirdly he married Jane Ashburnham daughter of William Ashburnham Esq. [2] and his wife, Anne Hawley.
His fourth and last wife was Blanche Vaughan daughter of John Vaughan of Burgavenny [2] All of his wives were memorialised at St Mary Slaugham. [2]
Sheriff in 1522-3 and had an estate assessed at £180 by the subsidy commission of 1525.[3]
Richard died in 1547 [3] and was buried at St Mary, Slaugham. [2]
