He served as a Private in Berkeley County, Virginia under command of Captains Van Matere and McIntire. He obtained a pension for his service: Pension Number:  S1754. [1]

Crownover-310 and Covenhoven-83 appear to represent the same person because: Crownover was the original spelling before it morphed into Covenhoven, however as the other profile has no manager to watch over it, I proposed the merge this way.
