Joseph Coupy was born on March 22, 1741 in Saint-Michel de Bellechasse, Canada, Nouvelle-France, son of Joseph Goupil (1704–1778) and Marie Françoise Bissonnette (1711–1748).[1]
Joseph (31) married Angelique Frelan (20) (born on March 21, 1752 in Saint-Charles de Bellechasse, Canada; daughter of Pierre Ferland and Geneviève Goulet) on November 23, 1772 in Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Province de Québec. [2]Their daughter was Judith Coupille (1786–1823).
Joseph (47) married Marie Therese Boulé (29) (born on November 2, 1758 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Canada; daughter of Augustin Boulay and Geneviève Marie Anne Tanguay) on August 27, 1788 in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Province de Québec. [3]Their daughter was Marie Goupille (>1790– ).
Joseph died on May 11, 1795 in Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Province de Québec, aged 54.[4]
