Elizabeth Cotter, the wife of Kean Mahony, if she was, indeed, the daughter of James Cotter, and Elizabeth is mentioned as the youngest child, then she would have been had born between 1712-1720 (her father died in 1720).

Elizabeth Cotter married Kean Mahony (O'Mahony ?) Esq, M.D. ^[1].

Her husband, Kean Mahony, has the title of M.D. after his name in Burke's. He may have been born at Cloghane, Kerry, Ireland ^[2] He may have been the son of James Mahony and Catherine Conway.

Discrepancy

One source has Elizabeth Cotter (O'Cotter) as one of the four children of Edmond Cotter of Anngrove, County Cork and Miss _____ O'Brien of county Clare^[3] which would have made Margaret Matthews Cotter, who remarried to Martin Spring, her grandmother instead. ^[4]
