Luciano Cortimiglia is born and baptized on 18 September 1853 in Corleone. He is the son of Gaetano Cortimiglia and Calogera Pomilla. His godparents are Antonio di Palermo and Biagia Pomilla.[1]
Luciano marries marries Maria Palumbo, daughter of the late Salvatore Palumbo and the living Maria Saltaformaggio, on 17 October 1880 in Corleone. His mother has died by this time.[2]
Luciano and Maria have at least three children: Calogero (c. 1885), Salvatore/Sam (1886), and Maria (c. 1895).
Salvatore is baptized in Corleone on 26 December 1886.[3]

Luciano dies at age 84 on 3 February 1937 in New Iberia, Iberia, LA.[5]
According to the gravestone, Luciano Cortimiglia, born 18 September 1853 and died 3 February 1937, is buried with his wife, Maria Palumbo (“Polumbo”), in St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Iberia, Iberia parish, LA.[6]
Sam dies 28 October 1949. He is buried with his wife, Angelina, in St. Peter’s Cemetery.[7]
