Biography

Margaret Ann Cornett(e)'s birth record indicates that she was born on May 21, 1857 to John and Sarah Jane Cornett(e) in Grayson, Virginia.[1][2] She is listed with her parents on the 1860 Census[3] and with her widowed mother on the 1870 Census.[4] On December 11, 1871 she married James H. Comer.[5] The couple are listed together on the 1900 Census which indicates that they had at least nine children with eight still living at the time that the census was taken.[6] She passed away on March 3, 1905 at the age of 47; her husband and eight of her children are linked to her Find-a-Grave Memorial.[7]
