Biography

Mozella (Cook) Brooks is a part of US Black heritage.

Mosella, daughter of Moses & Susan Cook of Savannah, Georgia, on 9 Jan 1900, & lived with her parents there.^[1]

In 1920, she was living with her mother & two sisters, & was employed as a seamstress in a skirt factory.^[2][3] She was still listed with her maiden name in Savannah's 1922 City Directory.^[4]

By 1925, Mozella had married steamship worker Isaac Kelliehan.^[5] They had three children by 1930.^[6]

Mozella Kelliehan married Albert F Brooks in Dade County, Florida, in May 1959.^[7]

Mozella Brooks died in Gary, Indiana of heart disease on 17 Oct 1977.^[8][9][10] She was buried in Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart, IN.^[11]
