It's time for our annual Scotland Project check-in!
This year we are hoping to learn what our membership would like to accomplish over the next 12 months. In case you aren't aware, this year is WikiTree's ""Year of Connections"" and the Project's leadership would like to contribute to this in as many ways as possible.
We would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts and ideas with us on how we can accomplish this goal. We would also appreciate it if you would provide some feedback on our existing goals, including:
We continue to communicate with our Project members via Google Group (official) and Discord (unofficial), as well as G2G. You may also reach out to any of the Project leaders via WikiTree's internal messaging system at any time.

Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
We'd love to have you join the Twisted Thistles in the upcoming Connect-a-thon the weekend of July 17 - July 20. Hi Sarah, I am very interested in continuing on the project by the new name. I haven't been doing much because I was having some problems with headaches from screen time esp scrolling for info. I'm gradually trying to become more active. I am interested in all "my" clans: Ferguson, MacLeod (of Harris), MacLaughlin, Martin, Hall, Gordon, Stewart, Bean/MacBayne, MacKay/MacKie as well as my extended family's clans: MacPherson, MacDougall, Campbell, MacBeth, MacDonald, MacEachern, MacEwen, MacInnis, MacKenzie, MacLean, MacNeill, MacPhail, MacPhee, Maquarrie, MacRae, I am also interested in my friend's clan: Lytle My grandparents are from PEI and Nova Scotia, so I have a lot of clan names in my family. My cousin, Harold MacLeod, of PEI wrote two books: 1) The Loyalist Comptons of PEI and The MacLeods of PEI. Thanks, Deborah Compton

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Military and War Project, and we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
If you wish to remain, please let us know how you have been contributing to the tasks and goals of the project or any of its sub-projects recently, it would be very helpful to the leaders.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things and remove you from the project. You will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

I havent yet heard back from you to say whether or not youd like to continue in the Canada Project. Please can you let me know if youd like to stay, what team(s) youd like to be in, and let me know your e-mail address so I can add you to the project Google Group? If I havent heard back from you by this time next week Ill assume you no longer want to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to re-join at any time.

Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.
You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.
Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?
Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).

The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.
