Andrew is the son of John William and Matilda (Husted) Collier. He married 1) unknown, and they had at least one child in Iowa:
- Lillie, b. abt 1865 in Iowa.
His first wife must have died because in 1870 Andrew was back in Clark County living with his sister. He then married 2) Margaret "Maggie" Coffield on 07 Oct 1875 in Clark County, Ohio. They moved to King County, Washington before 1900. In 1920, Andrew is widowed, 75 years old, and living alone in Inglewood, King, Washington.
