Douglas Harry Cohen was born on 10 February 1920 in Coogee, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Trix Cohen and Leslie Cohen.^[1]

He was a paediatrician.^[1]

He married Lysbeth Rose Sloman in 1943.^[2]

Douglas was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1980.^[1]

Lysbeth died in September 1987.^[1]

Douglas died on 5 September 2011 in Kincumber, New South Wales.^[1]
