In the Bavarian Jew's Registers of 1824 Deborah Cohen originally was named Fora Kuhn, married Stix. She was born in 1794. Her father since the year 1788 was the Vorsänger or Kantor of the Jewish community of Demmelsdorf. Therefore her birth place probably is Demmelsdorf. She was the only child of her parents.[1]
In 1844 she emigrated to the USA.[2]Exactly she came with her family to the USA in May or June 1844 by the ship Louis Philipp. The ship started in Le Havre, France.[3]
1850, 1860 and 1870 she lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.[4][5][6]
