Biography

Catharina Aletta was born in Marico, ZAR on 4 April 1886; she was the daughter of Dirk Johannes Coetzee and Olefina Adriana Meintjes.

She was 18 years old when she married 20-year-old Christiaan Wilhelmus Potgieter in Zeerust on 27 June 1905.^[1]

Christiaan died in 1914; the 31-year-old widow married 30-year-old Petrus Johannes Bender in Zeerust on 23 June 1917.^[2]
