Hi Daniella, a warm welcome to WikiTree! Many / most of the South African genealogical lines and profiles of the eigtheenth and seventeenth periods (and earlier) have already been made. Many have also been validated with primary sources. I see that you correctly connected Van_der_Walt-1614 as child to Van_der_Walt-595, that is if the parent-child connection is valid. It would help more if you could add your sources in a comment (even though this specific bio is in dire need of collative integrative editing according to the protocols of our project, which was not your doing).
Welcome Daniella! You are confirmed as a full member and we are happy you are part of the WikiTree community! Please start with our New Member How-To pages. This will save time, energy and frustration as you add your family.
Click the green Tag on your profile page, you'll see other members following the surname or other Tags that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests. The more Tags you add the more links to the community research options.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there. Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help!
Just a note to say hi and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about WikiTree. You can contact me by clicking the link to my name, then sending a private message or posting a comment on my profile page.
