Like his famous brother, Ty Cobb, Paul was also a baseball player. He played in the minor league as an infielder for about 17 years. He played for the teams in Jacksonville, Augusta, Royston, Georgia Tech, Terre Haute, Ogden, Sanford, Topeka, Lincoln and Omaha. He managed the Jacksonville Tarpons for part of the 1916 season.
