Joseph Clowes was born 28 Mar 1662 in Gawsworth, Cheshire, England the son of John Clowes and Margery Dunn[1].
He arrived in Pennsylvania with his family on the "Endeavor" of Liverpool in 1683[2].
On 6 Jul 1692 he married Elizabeth Pownall[3]
