Y., Feb. 3, 1865; d., Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 1, 1901.
Capt. J. B. Clift has held many offices of trust in the Marine Bureau; now, 1904, surveyor to the Board of Marine Underwriters of San Francisco, New York, and Wheat Tariff Association; also surveyor to the British Corporation Registry; agent American Bureau of Shipping. Residence in 1904, 1515 N. Seventh St., Tacoma, Wash.
