Biography

George Clark Cleveland was a son of Job William Cleveland and Almira Fenton, born 27 July 1818 in East Hebron, New York.^[1]

He married first Elvira Jane Clark, in Portage, New York on 18 January 1843. They had two children, George Clark Cleveland and Harvey Chester Cleveland, both born in Rockford, Illinois.^[2]

Elvira Clark died in 1849, and George married again, to Pamelia Lewis, on 1 October 1851, in Orangeville, Wyoming County, New York.^[2]

They had the following children:

1. Frank Louis Cleveland 1859–1937
2. Edwin Warren Cleveland 1859–1940
3. Willis Porter Cleveland 1861–1929
4. Carrie Elvira (Gardner) 1863–1953

They farmed in Cherry Valley, Illinois. ^[3][4][5]
