Biography
Jospeh Dixie Churchill was son of Joseph Churchill a chemist of Peterborough. He was born at Lichfield in Staffordshire and baptised May 21, 1761. [1] He was educated at Christ's Hospital and Pembroke College, Cambridge, graduating BA in 1784 and MA in 1787. He was ordained priest on the 18th of December 1785. [1]
On 7 August 1787, whilst curate of Wrentham in Suffolk he married at Wrentham, Sarah Primrose, [2]daughter of Benjamin Primrose and his wife, Elizabeth Dawson.
In 1811 Joseph married Susannah Chapman. They had three children together:
Joseph died March 8 and was buried March 11, 1836 in Erpingham, Norfolk (England).[1][3]
