Ralph Oda "Otis" Church was born on April 25/7, 1927 in Olympia, Washington, United States to parents Lester Oda Church and Maude Spears .^[1]

On April 27, 1943 Ralph signed his World War II Draft Card in Benton City, Benton, Washington, United States. On it he is described as: "Freckled Complexion, 5'9" tall, 140 pounds with Hazel eyes and red hair."^[2]

After returning from his military duties, Ralph (22 yrs) married Audrey Norine Hannigan (16yrs) on August 15, 1947 in Clark, Washington, United States.^[3]
