Biography

Hannah was the daughter of Franklin Chipps and Elizabeth Frum.

At age 9, she was living in her parents' family in District 1 of Monongalia County, Virginia in 1860.[1]

Hannah married Jonathan S Powell in Monongalia County 21 April 1870. He was son of Jacob and Mary Powell.[2]

In 1880 Jonathan Powell was age 30. Hannah Powell was age 29. They had children: James Powell, age 10; Catherine Powell, age 7 and Mary E Powell, age 5.[3]

In 1900 Hannah had been married 30 years. She and husband John were living in Elkins, Randolph, West Virginia in the husband of their daughter Mary E. Flesher, age 25 and son-in-law Clinton W Flesher, age 30 and granddaughter Lucile Flesher, age 1.[4]

Jonathan and Hannah Powell were living at 361 First St., Leadsville, Randolph, West Virginia in 1910.[5]

Jonathan and Hannah were in Randolph County in 1920.[6]

Jonathan and Hannah were in Elkins, Randolph, West Virginia in 1930.[7]

She died of influenza.[8]
