Biography

Ethel Ching was born in 1884 at Tottenham in Middlesex. She was the daughter of William Bryant Ching and his wife Caroline, born Caroline Stringer. ^{[1] [2] [3]} She had a twin sister called Florence. ^[4]

In 1901 Ethel Ching was living at 28 Castle Street East in Banbury in Oxfordshire with her parents, William B. and Caroline P. Ching, and their other children. Her age was given as 16, implying a birth date in 1884 or 1885. Her birthplace was given as Tottenham, Middlesex. She was employed as a dressmaker. ^[2]

Ethelbert Legge, of Bradford, and Ethel Ching, daughter of William Bryant Ching, of Banbury, were married at the Wesleyan Chapel, Marlborough Road, Banbury, on 12 May 1913. ^{[5] [3]}

She died in 1967 in Bradford, Yorkshire.
