Edith (Chewter) Gladman was born in Surrey, England.
Edith was born in 1886[1] She was the daughter of James Feldwick and Edith Chewter. (It appears that Edith's mother was unmarried at the time of her birth and that her mother later married James Feldwick.)
Edith was christened 4th Jul 1886 in Shamley Green, Surrey, England[2]
Edith was living with her mother and grandmother in Shamley Green, Surrey, England in 1891[3]
Edith was living with her parents and siblings in Bermondsey, Surrey, England and she was working as a dressmaker in 1911[4]
On 6 August 1911 at St Anne's Church Bermondsey, Edith married George Gladman. The couple would become the parents of a daughter Marjorie who was born in November 1916.
Edith passed away in Greenwich London in late November or early December 1916, just a week or two following daughter Marjorie's birth. We suspect (but are not certain) that Edith died from the complications of childbirth. Edith was buried in Lewisham London on 2 December 1916.
