Biography
Hattie Annie Chesser was born on April 18, 1881, in Chelsea, Alabama, to Mary Jane Day, age 20, and Lafayette Washington Chesser, age 26. in the 1900 census, Hattie was living in Spearman in Shelby county and working on the farm. [1]
She married Earnest Franklin Brasher on December 20, 1908, in Chelsea. They had nine children in 18 years. In 1910, they were living in Yellowleaf in Shelby county where they worked a rented farm. [2]
She died on January 28, 1966, in Bessemer, Alabama, at the age of 84, and was buried in Midfield, Alabama, next to her husband in the Valhalla Cemetery. [3]
