Sylvester Chesebrough was born 28 Jul 1735 at Stonington, Connecticut. He was the seventh and final child of Hannah (Chesebrough) & Elisha Chesebrough.[1]
He was baptized 31 Aug 1735 at First Congregational Church (Road Church), Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.
Sylvester Chesebrough married 25 Apr 1758 at Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, Hannah Carpenter. They were married by James Fones, Justice of the Peace.
Note: Wheeler (1900) published that their marriage date was 25 October 1758; this may be an error, or may have been the date that their marriage was entered into the official record, not the actual date of marriage.
They had 13 children during the ensuing timespan through about 1782. These are fully listed in the Chesebrough family genealogy[1], however several of them are missing from the Wheeler (1900) History of Stonington.
Sylvester Chesebrough died about 1795 at North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

A merge for son Elisha has already been proposed. It does appear these are the same person. The wife/wives need to be figured out. Is one incorrect, or did he marry two women named Hannah? If he had two wives, which is the mother of Elisha? Which is the mother of each of the other children?
