Biography

Daniel Chesebrough was born 12 Jan 1771^[1] at Stonington, Connecticut. He was the second child of Phebe (Denison) & Elihu Chesebrough.

He married 6 Jan 1793 Fanny Williams at Stonington, Connecticut. They resided after 1798 in or near Groton; they had 9 children, only 4 of whom produced a next generation; these did not:

• Catherine Bogert Chesebrough (13 Feb 1798 @ Stonington, CT - 11 Jul 1821)
• Elam Williams Chesebrough (29 Apr 1800 - 1 Jan 1841)
• Abby Chesebrough (9 Feb 1805 - 22 Sep 1827)
• Eleazer Chesebrough (28 Apr 1807 - 23 Mar 1808)
• Matilda Avery Chesebrough (15 Nov 1814 - 28 May 1841)

As a result of a fall in 1808, Daniel was confined to bed for 33 years until his death.

Daniel Chesebrough died 16 May 1841 at Groton, Connecticut.
